My elderly dog has been diagnosed with kidney disease, what treats can I give her?

I'm sorry to hear that your dog's been diagnosed with early stage kidney disease but the good news is they can be supported and live a long life on the prescription diets.

So given this we wouldn't add anything to the prescription diet and if you wanted to give them a treat what i'd suggest is that you take a bit of kibble and put it in a separate jar and use your kibble from the prescription diet as a treat.

If you are doing that, just be aware that when you give them their portions of food during the day that you've accounted for the amount of treats that you've given them. That's the best thing that you can do for your dog.
