My cat is not very smoochy and I struggle to flea and worm her. What can I do?
Oh yes, the cat that's difficult to pill. This is very frustrating as an owner but we do have some options.
So one option is the comfortest chew which is beef flavoured to make it more palatable there's also the milpro wormer which has a coating on it that makes it more flavoursome for the cat and you could mix this in its food and see if it will eat it directly.
What we don't recommend is grinding up the tablets to sprinkle in the food as they really need to be ingested whole to be the most effective.
If you're really struggling I'm sure your friendly local vet practice with their vet nurses or the vets would be able to pill your cat although I know it is stressful getting the cat down to the vet.
Or, if they're a cat friendly accredited clinic, they'll be able to give you tips, tricks and techniques that will make handling your cat much easier and a much better experience for you and the cat.
