How do I know if my pet is too thin or too fat?
So weight management is really important in pet care.
Animals that are really overweight can have a whole lot of underlying health issues as can animals that are severely underweight.
There are some really good guides out there online showing how to body condition score your pet and this is done through look and feel.
So I'd suggest that you go to one of those guides and it'll just give you some tips on what the ideal body weight and condition would be for your pet.
If you're still stuck after that then i'd recommend that you go down to the vet clinic and your vet will be able to guide you - also most importantly weigh your cat or your dog - so that you have an idea of whether your pet is gaining weight or losing weight or just sitting in that nice weight where it needs to.
